AULD LANG SYNE – Happy New Year Song – COVER

Happy New Year everybody! 2017 has almost come to an end so as we cross over into 2018 I’ve recorded my own version of Auld Land Syne! I hope whatever you’re plans are for New Year’s Eve you have a fantastic time and hopefully you won’t feel the effects too badly on New Year’s Day!

(Sadly I couldn’t get my hands on a set of bagpipes for this but I worked in the accordion so hopefully that’ll make up for it!)

Hope you’ve all had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

AULD LANG SYNE
Lyrics:

Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind?
Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and old lang syne?

For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we’ll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

And surely you’ll buy your pint cup!
and surely I’ll buy mine!
And we’ll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

We two have run about the slopes,
and picked the daisies fine;
But we’ve wandered many a weary foot,
since auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we’ll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

[Horn Solo]

We two have paddled in the stream,
from morning sun till dine;
But seas between us broad have roared
since auld lang syne.

And there’s a hand my trusty friend!
And give me a hand o’ thine!
And we’ll take a right good-will draught,
for auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we’ll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

We’ll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

Thanks for watching!
